Request from Dublin coastguard to go to the assistance of a small inflatable with 4 pob broken
down in Dalkey sound. Whilst enroute ALB noticed a small inflatable with 2 adults and 2 small
children motoring around north of the position given by the coastguard. ALB went over to the
inflatable and asked them if they had engine trouble earlier and they said that they had hit a
plastic bag which had sheared the shear pin in their gearbox. Alb was stood down and returned to
station
