Four young persons stranded on sandbank. Located by ILB who saw their plight. Recovered and transfered to the safety of shore at Sandymount where Dun L CG unit were standing by.

Couple stranded on sandbank at Sandymount. ILB tasked, also Air Corps helo, CG shore team, Rescue Helo 116. Air corps winched to safety and brought to Tallaght hospital. ILB stood down en route.

Man threatening self harm at end of east pier Dun L. Gardai requested assistance. Did not launch as Gardai recovered person as crew were assembling.

Request from Dublin C/G to launch to the assistane of a leisure boat with 4 POB broken down off Dun Laoghaire Harbour mouth. Loacated casualty and towed to the Coal Quay Dun Laoghaire.

Casualty fouled her prop on her own anchor line. Located, resolved and escorted back to Dun Laoghaire.

   

Fall from Cliff No. 24/2012

Young male fell on cliff walk at Vico. Suffered head injury and bruising to shoulder and arm. Location unsuitable for evacuation by sea or land and hi line medevac effected by Rescue Heli 116,assisted by RNLI and CG shore personnel. A lifeguard and a passing board sailor who offered to help were dropped back to the safty of Killiney Beach.  C/G helicopter winch man administered care to casualty.

 

Kitesurfer at Sutton No. 23/2012
